SAVE $49.05: The Petcube Bites 2 Lite is $99.95 at Amazon as of May 2. That's a savings of 33%.

What do your pets get up to when you're away? If you have the sneaking suspicion it's a bunch of mischief, then a pet camera might be a good investment for you. Of course, you might also want a camera to see your fur baby's face when you're away — or, with certain cameras, to give them treats when you can't physically be present. Either use case is totally valid — we love our pets like they're our children. But sometimes we don't trust them when they're alone.

Amazon Pet Day is upon us, so that means you can get a great camera as a responsible paw-rent to see what your "kids" are up to. Case in point: the Petcube Bites 2 Lite(opens in a new tab) camera is on sale as of May 2 for $99.95. That's $49.05 off and a savings of 33%.

This pet camera offers full HD 1080p live streaming video with 30-feet night vision and 8x digital zoom. It also includes 2-way audio so you can talk to your pets and hear their responses if they happen to be in a yipping or meowing mood. You can use the built-in treat dispenser to toss dry treats or dog food on command, or schedule treat time via the Petcube app.

Mashable's Leah Stodart praised the Petcube Bites 2 Lite in her review for its "affordable comfort without splurging" and its camera with "decent detail" in comparison to cheaper pet camera options.

If you'd feel much better having a way to check in on your furry friends while you're away, this is a great option that can keep you abreast of all your pets' movements. And hey, it also gives you an excuse to watch them all day when you're away.
