SAVE UP TO 45%: As of May 3, the Petkit PuraX self-cleaning cat litter box(opens in a new tab) (regular and extra large) is on sale at Amazon for up to 45% off. That's a savings of up to $360.99.

If you love your cat but are tired of cleaning out a gross litter box on the regular, know that things don't have to be this way. Make things easier by making the switch to an automatic litter box. Not only do you not have to worry about a constant cleaning schedule, but you don't have to get up close and personal with potentially unpleasant scent situations ever again — unless you need to do some manual tidying up, anyway.

You can save big on one of our favorite enclosed litter boxes right now at Amazon, as well as its larger size for bigger kitties. The Petkit PuraX self-cleaning cat litter box(opens in a new tab) is on sale right now for $439, down from its normal price of $799.99. That's a savings of 45%. Alternatively, the bigger Petkit extra large self-cleaning cat litter box(opens in a new tab) is on sale for $449 when you clip the $150 coupon, down from its normal price of $799.99.

These enclosed automatic litter boxes look a little more like robot vacuums than places for your feline to relieve themselves, but they work like a charm. They keep odors at bay and give your cat a little privacy to do its business, which is great if you have a skittish cat that doesn't want you watching when it's time to get down to it. These litter boxes may be pricey, but the cost is well worth it for people who want to remove a looming, gross daily chore from their lives.

The app-controlled litter box offers both automatic and scheduled cleaning modes, with sensors to help you keep up with how often your cat is using the box. There's a special liquid that's released to help block odors so you can have guests over any time without worrying about cleaning out the box first. Plus, the TPE rubber construction for both boxes helps, erm, undesirable objects from sticking to the side of the litter box. All you really need to do is empty out the reservoir from time to time.

If you're ready to make the switch to a self-cleaning litter box, these are great options to try out. You're going to love not having to clean out litter boxes on the reg — trust us.
