The 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards' in-person ceremony and live broadcast may have been cancelled due to the Hollywood writers' strike, but that doesn't mean there weren't still buckets of golden popcorn to hand out.

This year's MTV Movie & TV Awards ceremony was entirely virtual, with winners accepting their shiny buckets of corn via prerecorded video. The end result is a 13-minute compilation video of all of these acceptance speeches, including recipients such as The Last of Us' Best Duo Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, The White Lotus' freshly awarded Comedic Genius Jennifer Coolidge, and Best Breakthrough Performance winner Joseph Quinn aka Stranger Things' Eddie Munson.

Aside from expressing gratitude to their colleagues, studios, and the fans who voted for them, many of the honoured performers took the opportunity to offer support on social justice issues such LGBTQ rights and the writers' strike.

"We are all thanking HBO and Naughty Dog, and standing in solidarity with the [Writers Guild of America] that is fighting very hard for fair wages," said Pascal.
