It seems like the hosts of Only Murders in the Building might have some competition.

Susie Searches follows its eponymous lead, Susie (Kiersey Clemons), an awkward college student desperately trying to make her true crime podcast a viral, and legitimate, hit. So when another student on campus, Jesse (Alex Wolff), goes missing, Susie finds the perfect opportunity for true crime fame by trying to solve the case. But all is not what it seems with Susie, as the film's trailer hints that our heroine might actually be a secret villain.

Taking a jab at the true crime craze, Susie Searches promises to be a witty dark comedy with Mashable's Kristy Puchko describing the film as "a smartly savage and satisfying ride."

Susie Searches also stars Jim Gaffigan, Rachel Sennott, Ken Marino, Alex Moffat, David Walton, Isaac Powell, Geoffrey Owens, and Jared Gilman.

Following its TIFF premiere, Susie Searches releases in theaters on July 28.
